September Meeting

"I perceive that you have been unwell lately. Summer colds are always a little trying."
- Sherlock Holmes to Dr. Watson in 'The Stock-broker's Clerk'

We do hope you'll feel well enough to join us at the Fall meeting of The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit.

Sunday September 19 at 1:00 PM
Station 885 Restaurant, 885 Starkweather St., Plymouth, MI 48170
Four blocks north of Plymouth Rd. (Main St.) and one block west of Mill St.
(734) 459-0885

Our assigned reading and brief Canonical discussion will concern 'The Stock-broker's Clerk', an adventure involving an unemployed man, two very mysterious brothers and the Franco-Midland Hardware Company.

As befits our location next to the railroad tracks, AMS member Robert Musial will then enlighten us with a presentation about Bradshaw's Guide, The Engineer's Thumb and the use of trains in the Canon.

There will also be the usual toasts plus prizes, good fellowship and more. We look forward to seeing you on September 19th. Libations begin at 1:00 PM with luncheon being served shortly after.

Respectfully submitted,

Robert Musial, Tantalus

If you plan to attend, please mail your check ($25 per person) by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12th to:
