Spring Meeting Notice
“ … the course of events is certainly among the most singular that I have ever listened to.”
— Sherlock Holmes, “The Red-Headed League”
You are cordially invited to another singular event, the Spring 2007 meeting of the Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit.
Saturday, May 5, 2007

(between 12 & 13 Mile Roads)
Club phone: (586) 751-9560
Libations 6:30 p.m.; buffet dinner 7 p.m.
The brief Canonical discussion that night concerns the case of one Jabez Wilson, he of “the fiery red hair” and his strange duties with the Encyclopedia Britannica and the afore-mentioned “Red-Headed League.”
Member Beverly Sobolewski will then present her short monograph on “Watson’s Wives.”
Also, our sister scion, the Ribston-Pippins of Royal Oak, will be meeting in the club’s library from 5-7 p.m. that night to cogitate over “The Stock-Broker’s Clerk” and they have invited interested Mendicants to join them. They will then join us for dinner. Please RSVP to (248) 589-3563 for that separate event.
Confirm your reservation for the dinner meeting by sending a check for $25 per person before Wednesday, May 2 to:
