February 1st Meeting Notice

And we hope you’ll do us justice by joining us for an afternoon of comestibles and conviviality at the annual winter meeting of The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit.

Our assigned story is “The Adventure of The Crooked Man,” which concerns a love triangle, a “locked room” mystery and an exotic creature.
Our presentation will be “A Holmesian Menagerie” by Christine Jeryan and we will also be celebrating the 160th birthday of The Master. In addition, we’ll be awarding our annual Beggar’s Cup for Sherlockian scholarship and offering a unique and interactive All-Canon quiz.
We’ll also have the usual toasts, plus prizes and more. We hope to see you on February 1, 2014.

Cheddar garlic mashed potatoes, a vegetable medley, dessert sorbet and beverages will be provided. As always, there will be a cash bar.
