Winter Meeting Announcement

Along with wishing you the merriest compliments of the season, we’re inviting you to join us at the upcoming winter dinner meeting of The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit.

Our assigned story is “The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle,” which involves a priceless missing gemstone, a special Christmas goose and a wrongly-accused man. And a quiz so read the story.

The evening’s presentation will be “An Irregular Life: Confessions of a Fortunate Sherlockian” by the esteemed Mark McPherson, BSI.

There will also be toasts, a prize raffle, the presentation of the annual Beggar’s Cup award, a cake to honor The Master on his 163rd birthday and the usual folderol.
